Roswell’s dining scene is in for a change as Houck’s Grille becomes Coastal Bar, Grill & Chill this fall. Coastal will offer Gulf Coast flavors and a relaxed vibe, taking over the former Houck’s space.
Jerome Stuart, the mind behind Coastal, plans to bring Gulf Coast cuisine, drinks, and culture to diners. Combining coastal living with Southern hospitality, Coastal aims to be a cozy neighborhood spot with daily dishes, trivia nights, and live music.
Coastal will honor Houck’s 35-year history while introducing new dishes. Favorites like baby back ribs will get coastal twists, like island barbecue sauce and mango-habanero glaze. The famous fried shrimp will have a coconut version, blending tradition with innovation.
Stuart is excited about the “Ray Bob,” a Southern Reuben, and Mexican molotes—fried catfish with gluten-free hush puppies.
On August 27th, founders Bill and Judy Houck will celebrate Coastal’s arrival and bid farewell to Houck’s. Guests can preview Coastal’s offerings and join a silent auction with Bill’s sports memorabilia, supporting local teams. Festivities start at 4 p.m. with live music.
Coastal represents the evolution of the Houck legacy since 1986. Opening in mid-September at 10930 Crabapple Road, Suite B120, it offers Gulf Coast-inspired cuisine in a laid-back atmosphere for locals and visitors.
