ONE Musicfest starts this Weekend

Some say music is the soul of life, the rhythm of the heart, the melody of the spirit; and much more. If you are a music lover, you must be in love with the ONE MusicFest already and if you aren’t, you will after reading this post.

At the eighth ONE MusicFest, fans are sure to experience the new beginning the number 8 is rumored to bring along with it. No stone is being left unturned in this Southeast’s premier urban progressive music and arts festival. Since its inception and till date, the ONE MusicFest has always been one of a kind, fusing music and love, bringing so much distinction to the table.

The 2017 lineup cannot be described as anything other than a lineup full of powerful individuals. Not just is the lineup a complete powerhouse, the diversity being represented on stage is sure to have a lingering effect, penetrating into the hearts of people and creating more than just good vibes, but a bond of unity amongst all viewers.

Jason ‘J’ Carter raises the bar yet again with acts like Jill Scott (an Atlanta favorite), Mos Def, Jidenna, Kaytranada, Too $hort, Ro James, Tank and the Bangas; not to talk of acts like Thundercat, J.I.D, Ari Lennox, Sean Paul and Noname. This is such a great line up that it would be criminal to miss the live show if you had the opportunity to, and I say this to music lovers.

It’s such a beautiful thing when dreams come true and it is with this same overwhelming feeling that J Carter expresses the fact that he never expected his vision to become so magnanimous and self-fulfilling, beating even his wildest imagination 10-15 years prior. For bringing together such an event, he would forever be a hero in the minds of many.

This year’s one day event is set to take place at Lakewood Amphitheatre in southwest Atlanta on the 9th of September by 12 noon, with a prefestival celebration at Tabernacle in downtown Atlanta on the 8th of September by 8pm.

It might thrill you to know that this event is supposedly Yasiin Bey’s farewell performance!

Just in case you want to get a ticket to the show and you’re still dragging your feet, you should be well aware of the fact that the tickets for 2016 sold-out very quickly and the line-up wasn’t even as dope as this year’s!

You can get your ticket at www.livenation.com by adding the Saturday One MusicFest ticket to your shopping cart, following which you can then add on the Friday concert if you are so inclined. Tickets are sold within the range of $65-$115.
