This year Imagine Music Festival was held in the Atlanta Motor Speedway, located in Hampton, Georgia. This year’s theme was “An Aquatic Fairy Tail” and took place over three days in September 22, 23 and 24th 2017. There were six stages configured in the gigantic space that is typically a NASCAR specific site filled with a completely different crowd. The Oceana Stage, the Amazonia Stage, the Disco Inferno Stage, and the Aeria Stage. All of the stages were completely different and creative, imaginative even.

Friday:

On Friday at 1:30 (Well, it’s really Saturday) the DJ everyone was anticipating came out, Grammy award winner Tiësto! It was his first return to Georgia since performing at Tomorrowworld in September 2015. Many EDM fans came to the festival to see his performance, not showing up until the early hours of Saturday.

He performed on the Oceana stage, a trippy multicolored venue that can easily captivate your senses. His performance made the crowd go wild! Ending Friday at 3 am, Tiësto was the last performance of the day. However, those with a camping pass had the opportunity to attend a silent disco after party in the campgrounds. While in the US, Tiësto usually performs at Hakkasan and Wet Republic, the best parties in Las Vegas, Nevada. Those shows are definitely on the bucket list.

Imagine Festival had a few food trucks, the one that caught my attention was Try Vegan. Their introduction quote on their site is from the wise philosopher Hippocrates “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”. I chose their classic vegan portobello ‘burger’. Crunchy grilled bread filled with a generous portion of tomato, lettuce, portobello mushrooms, and savory sauce was delicious, healthy and perfect for a late night snack.
