East Lake Golf Club is proud to host The PGA Tour Championship again this year as it has been held there 16 other times since 1998. Created in 1908, East Lake is the oldest golf club in Atlanta with strong historical ties to the city. These two are known for pairing the historic with the modern which comes as no surprise because of their enduring legacies.

This year, East Lake and the PGA Tour have come together to offer delicious southern fare for their guests. Their new offerings feature a variety of Atlanta favorites like Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, Steinbeck’s, and Ceviche Taqueria.

Located at the SO Cool Zone this tour, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q’s menu displays their renowned Big Tex sandwich, savory pulled pork sandwich, smoked chicken sandwich, classic pimento cheese sandwich and frito pie. They also have traditional sides like, potato salad, slaw and chips. You have to try their “sweet with heat” sauce for a taste of Texas meets Georgia.

Peachtree Porch overlooking the 8th green and 9th tee is home to Steinbeck’s. They are a laid back gastropub serving uncommon fare and specialty beers. Their tournament menu features The Tower of Power, a burger with double Angus beef patties, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion and Million Island dressing; The Darwin, a fried Springer Mountain chicken sandwich including Vietnamese brussels sprouts and roasted jalapeño mayo; Spicy Chengdu chilled noodles with chili sauce, scallions, toasted sesame.

Last the  crispy Umami Fries covered in Pine Street bacon, scallions, Sriracha mayo and savory seasoning.

Ceviche Taqueria is not your typical taco shop. They offer authentic Mexican food with a twist. Their menu includes, Tropical Tuna Ceviche, Traditional Mahi Ceviche, and beef or chicken tacos. The soft flour tortilla encases marinated chicken, lettuce, Mexican cheese, pico and red pepper ranch sauce. This taco is a little spicy, but it’s perfect paired with their selection of choice tequilas.  There are also several other local restaurants featured at different zones around the course. After all, the perfect way to be quiet on the course is to fill your mouth with savory southern cuisine.

In addition to these choice foods, The PGA Tour partnered with William Hill Estate Winery to provide a variety of wines and luxury Chardonnay  to enjoy while experiencing the top 30 players.

If wine’s not your drink of choice East Lake also provides a game winning Grey Goose cocktail and other mixed drinks worth tasting. There’s a refreshing specialty mixed drink dubbed “The Shamrock” and given the title as the official drink of the PGA Tour Championship.
