Atlanta Motor Speedway to host two NASCAR weekends in 2023

The NASCAR Cup Series will be making two visits to Atlanta Motor Speedway in 2023. There will be thrilling action in the spring and summer as well as the first night race since 2014.

Stock car racing’s top drivers will take on the 1.54-mile oval in Atlanta for 400 miles of superspeedway racing in the Ambetter 400 on Sunday, February 19.The Ambetter Heath 400, fresh from the thrilling 2022 event that saw 46 lead changes between 20 drivers, will be the most anticipated event of the 2023 season.

The NASCAR Cup Series will be racing into Atlanta for the Quaker State 400 presented by Walmart, as the race intensifies to reach the NASCAR playoffs. Atlanta’s summer NASCAR race will take place at night under the lights, a new feature for 2023.

Brandon Hutchison, AMS Executive Vice President, and General Manager, said that “after all the excitement on the track and having so much fun off the track, it was a pleasure to invite people back to the Ambetter health 400 in March.” “Also exciting is the opportunity to bring NASCAR action under lights at the Quaker State 400 presented by Walmart. This year promises to be an exciting year of live entertainment! We are already working hard to make sure both events provide unforgettable experiences for our fans.

On Saturday, July 8, the NASCAR Xfinity Series will race under the lights at Alsco Uniforms 250. The 2023 Quaker State 400 Presented By Walmart weekend will be the first night race at AMS since 2014.

Atlanta’s NASCAR Doubleheader returns Saturday, March 18, with both the Fr8 208 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series and RAPTOR 250 NASCAR Xfinity Series races on Saturday. The doubleheader is a fan favorite that delivers two thrilling NASCAR races with one ticket each weekend since 2015.
