For the Indiana Fever, NaLyssa Smith led in points with 21, Aaliyah Boston in rebounds with 10, and Caitlin Clark in assists with 7. On the Atlanta Dream side, Tina Charles led all scorers with 24 points, Naz Hillmon led in rebounds with 9, and Haley Jones led in assists with 5.


Game Highlights

In the first quarter, Cheynne Parker-Tyus scored five consecutive points to boost the Dream’s momentum. Haley Jones then hit a fadeaway jump shot and assisted Tina Charles in transition, bringing the Dream within one point of the Fever at 18-19. Off the bench, Aerial Powers added five points within two minutes of being subbed into the game, leading all Dream scorers with seven first-quarter points. Tina Charles followed with six points and three rebounds for the quarter. The Dream tied with the Fever in fast break points at 4-4 and shot 52.6% from the field, 37.5% from 3-point range, and 100% from the free throw line.

In the second quarter, Tina Charles took over for Atlanta, producing all the Dream’s offense in a three-minute stretch, totaling 15 points in the first half. Bolstered by Charles’ performance, Atlanta concluded the quarter on a 10-2 run. Allisha Gray added four points, going 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Atlanta outpaced Indiana in fast break points, 8-4, in the first half and shot 92.3% from the free throw line, going 10-for-12 in the second quarter.

In the third quarter, initiated by a Haley Jones and-one, the Dream surged onto a 15-6 run midway through the third to bring the Fever’s lead down to single digits. The Dream remained steady from the free throw line, making 12-of-15 third quarter attempts. Gray and Jones headlined the Dream scoring in the third. Gray finished with eight points, three rebounds, one steal, and one assist for the quarter, while Jones added seven points, one steal, and one assist. Naz Hillmon recorded four offensive rebounds, leading the Dream effort on the boards. Atlanta outscored Indiana in second chance points, 4-2, in the third.

In the fourth quarter, Hillmon led the Dream with five points and two rebounds off the bench. Gray, Jones, and Powers all added two points apiece. Charles headlined Atlanta on the boards with three to close out the game. The Dream shot 100% from the free throw line for the quarter, going 7-for-7.

The Atlanta Dream started Haley Jones, Allisha Gray, Nia Coffey, Cheynne Parker-Tyus, and Tina Charles for the first time this season. With an official attendance of 17,575, the Dream set a franchise record for its highest-ever single-game attendance in its eighth consecutive home sellout of the season. The crowd was the fifth largest of the 2024 WNBA season. The Dream’s all-time record against the Fever moves to 33-29 and 20-10 when playing in Atlanta. Tina Charles led all scorers with a season-high 24 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. The center also marked a season high in minutes played and notched the 170th 20-point game of her career. Charles passed Taj McWilliams-Franklin for No. 3 all-time in total offensive rebounds in WNBA history. Allisha Gray followed Charles with 19 points, four rebounds, and three assists, and is just one field goal away from 1,000 for her career.
