The Whigs recently had their first show in four years, where they joined the Future Birds at the inaugural Highball event in Atlanta’s historic Pullman Yards. The Whigs, an American garage rock band hailing from Athens, Georgia, were comprised of lead singer and guitarist Parker Gispert, drummer Julian Dorio, and bassist Timothy Deaux.

During their hiatus, lead singer Parker Gispert ventured into a solo project and released a cover of Frank Sinatra’s classic “That’s Life” on the Normaltown Records label in October 2019. Their next tour dates are scheduled for December 2nd.

Highball, an extraordinary festival experience set in the iconic Pullman Yards, took place on October 21 and 22, 2023. Curated by Futurebirds, this two-day festival featured remarkable artist performances, well-known local food vendors, and a unique live experience situated alongside the railroad tracks of Pullman Yards. The lineup, carefully selected by the indie rock veterans, boasted headlining acts such as Band of Horses and The Head and the Heart, with daily sets by Futurebirds leading the way.

The event also showcased additional performances by Wednesday, a special reunion by The Whigs, Seratones, S.G. Goodman, T. Hardy Morris, and Hotel Fiction, making Highball an unforgettable musical gathering.
