Rival Entertainment, the prominent festival producer in Atlanta, has joined forces with Athens’ own rock powerhouse, Futurebirds, to unveil the highly anticipated Highball – an exceptional festival experience set to take place at the historic Pullman Yards on October 21 and 22, 2023. This two-day extravaganza, carefully curated by Futurebirds, promises an unforgettable blend of extraordinary musical performances, delectable local cuisine, and a distinctive live experience, all unfolding amidst the timeless charm of the Pullman Yards’ railroad tracks. The event is presented by Pabst Blue Ribbon, The Georgia Hemp Company, Código 1530 Tequila, and Bulleit Frontier Whiskey, who are equally excited to be a part of this exceptional celebration.

The inaugural Highball festival boasts an impeccable lineup of renowned artists, selected with great care by the indie rock stalwarts, Futurebirds. Headlining the event will be the illustrious Band of Horses and the mesmerizing The Head and the Heart, who will be gracing the stage with their awe-inspiring performances. Each day, the festival-goers will also be treated to two sets by none other than the talented Futurebirds themselves, adding a personal touch to the entire affair. As if that wasn’t enough, Highball is thrilled to present the much-anticipated reunion of The Whigs, promising a special and unforgettable performance for their ardent fans. The festival’s musical journey will be further enhanced by the eclectic sounds of Wednesday, the soulful tunes of Seratones, the captivating melodies of S.G. Goodman, the mesmerizing performance by T. Hardy Morris, and the enchanting Hotel Fiction.

Two years in the making, the collaboration between Rival Entertainment and Futurebirds has culminated in the creation of Highball, a celebration of music, camaraderie, and artistic passion. The stunning backdrop of Pullman Yards’ historic setting provided the perfect canvas for this extraordinary event, further amplifying the excitement and allure of the festival.

Carter King, the guitarist, and singer of Futurebirds, expresses his enthusiasm for the festival, stating, “It’s a wild wild dream to have the chance to help curate a festival bill, full of some of our favorite bands and best friends, in our home state, not far from where a handful of us grew up and experienced live music for the first time. It’s a full-circle experience, and we are extremely grateful for the opportunity. The lineup is insane; the venue is gorgeous. I can’t wait to see y’all out there in October.”

Highball has forged dynamic partnerships with Pabst Blue Ribbon, The Georgia Hemp Company, Código 1530 Tequila, and Bulleit Frontier Whiskey, who will act as the festival’s presenting sponsors. Local vendors across the Pullman Yards grounds will also join the festivities, contributing to the vibrant and immersive experience that Highball promises to deliver.

“We are thrilled to welcome Highball to Pullman Yards. We have anxiously anticipated this event and look forward to working with Rival Entertainment and Futurebirds on the first festival. Come experience two great days of live music on the Pullman Yards grounds,” says Atomic Entertainment’s Maureen Meulen, owner and operator of the Pratt-Pullman Entertainment District.
