New Realm Brewing and King of Pops announce the release of their first popsicle and beer collaboration, BLG Belgian Ale. The two Atlanta-based tastemakers came up with the recipe when pairing New Realm brews with King of Pops frozen treats. The BGL Belgian Ale combines the refreshing notes of a blackberry, ginger, lemon pop, and a Belgian style beer.

“King of Pops are our neighbors on the Belt-line, and it was inevitable that we shared and paired beers and pops on hot Atlanta afternoons,” said Carey Falcone, Co-Founder, and CEO of New Realm Brewing. “Our favorite pairing was a Blackberry Ginger Lemon pop with our Belgian style beer, so we put together a recipe that added the popsicle base to the Belgian.”

“We want to keep pushing ourselves to help create things that make people happy,” said Steven Carse, Co-Founder of King of Pops. “Working with New Realm to create a beer that is amazing by itself and completely unique when you add a pop to it hopefully does exactly that.”

BLG Belgian Ale is amber and orange with light pink hues and clocks in at 7.5% ABV and 18 IBU. The ale is now available for a limited time on draft and in 12-oz 6 pack cans in New Realm’s Atlanta brewery to-go coolers, as well as from retailers around Georgia.

About New Realm Brewing:

New Realm Brewing Company is an American craft brewery started in 2016 by co-founders Carey Falcone, Bob Powers, and Mitch Steele. The team opened their first production facility on Atlanta’s east side Beltline trail in December of 2017. There is a second New Realm location in Virginia Beach.

About King of Pops:

Steven and Nick Carse started King of Pops in 2010 with a couple of thousand bucks, a used ice cream pushcart, and a whole lot of luck. Today King of Pops has carts all across the south. Our success is due to amazing community support which we’ve received since day one. We do our best to respond to that support with love, gratitude and some laughs.
