On October 6, 2017, music lovers from around the world flocked to Atlanta for the A3C Festival, a conference and festival that helps inspire and engage, artists, musicians and others in the hip-hop industry. Last year’s lineup featured such artists as DJ Drama, Don Cannon and Nas. For three days, fans were able to attend various showcases by various artists. These performances featured such artists as Playboi Carti, Dave East, A-trak, and Nas. This event also featured various discussions, live interviews, and panels featuring some of the most prominent names in the hip-hop industry. Some of the highlights included the event, LVRN records uncover the art of finessing. This event featured a panel discussion wherein several artists talked about their secrets.
Specifically, they discussed what goes on behind the scenes of the music production process and gave advice to up-and-coming artists who are looking to make a name for themselves in the music industry. Another event was entitled Sonny Digital and Fki 1st School Us on MIDI Packs This panel was moderated by the super producers and hosted many famous artists such as Ludacris, Beyonce, and Mariah Carey. They discussed their fledgling days of trying to make it in the music industry as well as the significance of producer tags. Another one of the highlights was called spotlighting Atlanta’s underground finest at the festival grounds.
This particular event spotlighted the accessibility this festival provides for up-and=coming artists and featured discussions about Ghostface Killah, Nas, and other artists. Finally, the last highlight of the event was called DJ Drama and Don Cannon Take Us Down Memory Lane as they discussed the impacts they’ve made in the music industry and the adjustment they’ve made as they moved from Atlanta to Philadelphia. Overall, it was a great event for all the attendees.
