Shaky Beats Festival Day One Recap

The Shaky Beats Music Festival that happens every year is perhaps one of the most highly anticipated music festivals of the year. The entire weekend is filled with musical numbers and acts that are nothing short of amazing, and get the blood bumping one song after another. This year on day one of the music festival, the weather was pristine, the sun was out, and the warm temperatures kept everyone up and ready to party. Shaky Beats takes place near Central Park in Atlanta, Georgia and this year it happened from May 10th- May 11th. The entire weekend was full of amazing EDM music, great vibes, and dancing, and the first night kicked the weekend off with a bang that left the crowd wanting more.
The Shaky Beats Festival for 2019 was better than it has ever been before. Day one festival goers were greeted with stages that were newer and made the beats drop harder and music sound better than ever. There were upgrades everywhere to be seen that created an overall unforgettable festival experience.
Friday night kicked the festival off with the best starting set anyone could have hoped for. Paz showed up on the Peachtree Stage and immediately got the entire crows moving He played his own music as well as adding in tracks like “numb” which was a homage to Linkin Park. He had many dynamics playing throughout his set and brought out a total range of emotions from love and laughter to total rocking out from the audience.
Next up on the set list was Dirt Monkey who performed on Peachtree Stage. He performed an awesome upbeat set between two purple gorilla artworks that were wearing sunglasses. He barely seemed to even need a warm up and went straight at it with heavy beats and crazy visuals that the crowd went nuts over.
What So Not took to the stage after Dirt Monkey, and then it was time for Big Gigantic who rose up during sundown. They had the magic hour that night and they brought the funk! THey blasted amazing upbeat sounds from their saxophones and their drums and played music primarily from their album Brighter Future though they did include other popular tracks as well. It was not only them who broke a sweat on stage, but everyone in the audience poured sweat as they jumped up and down to the music.
The first night ended with Rufus Du Sol, and the crowd left the festival grounds pumped and ready for day two. It was truly an amazing first day for this year’s Shaky Beats Festival in Atlanta
