Festivals Jerk Chicken Grill

Welcome to the dining scene in Glenwood park, Festivals Jerk Chicken Grill! A fast casual jerk joint is just want this community needed. They’re surrounded by apartments filled with busy Atlantans choosing to eat at restaurants as opposed to cooking for themselves at home. Also, since healthy options has become more popular, Festivals has a variety of food to choose from and their meat is all natural while still being seasoned with flavorful jerk spices. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the owner Winston Ferguson describes the restaurant as a fast casual fusion and hinted that there may be up to 12 additional Festivals in the Atlanta area coming soon. This must be a highly anticipated addition to the dining scene in Glenwood park as it is a casual, go with the flow, relaxed Jamaican spot to stop in and grab a bite to eat or carry out.

¼ chicken breast & wing,

While visiting I had the pleasure of trying their ¼ chicken breast & wing, Jerk Chicken Egg Rolls.

Jerk Tacos

Jerk Tacos made from tortillas stuffed with jerk chicken, shredded arugula and cabbage with a side of sour cream, guacamole and pico de gallo. Everything was delicious and these were only a few of their entrees.

callaloo
Fried plantains

For sides, I tried savory rice & peas, sweet plantains, tangy callaloo and finally their signature ‘Festival’, a fried sweet crispy cornmeal fritter. I thought it was a delicious end to the meal.

As an added flavor burst there are several sauces to try: Festivals Sauce, Mango Jerk, Honey Garlic Parmesan, Peach Bourbon BBQ, Honey Lime Sriracha, Orange Jerk, and finally Lollipop! Give them all a try! There were a spectrum of flavors included in those sauces.

If you’re up for it they offer a few Jamaican specific drinks like rum punch and soda. They also have the traditional Red Stripe beer, wine, cocktails, and US sodas.
