As part of its 6-year anniversary celebrations, Escape the NETHERWORLD unveils an exhilarating addition to its lineup – a thrilling space-themed escape room experience titled “Alien Terror: The Doom of the Dark Horizon.” This latest offering is now available to adventure seekers, allowing them to immerse themselves in a world of intricate puzzles, realistic props, and captivating special effects that have become synonymous with the NETHERWORLD brand.
Following its acquisition of 10 acres of property in Stone Mountain in 2017, the team behind NETHERWORLD Haunted House embarked on expanding their attractions to include the captivating world of escape rooms. The endeavor began with three games, growing to four by 2019, each featuring diverse themes designed to engage both beginners and seasoned escape room enthusiasts. Ranging from the challenging Haunted: Curse of the Night Hag and Sasquatch: Bigfoot’s Revenge to the more complex Tiki Island: Attack of the Shark God and Nosferatu: Van Helsing’s Secret, these rooms offer players an immersive experience complete with detailed sets and surprising twists.
Alien Terror: The Doom of the Dark Horizon invites groups of 4 to 8 players to embark on a deep space mining vessel adventure, teetering on the edge of a massive black hole’s event horizon. Awakening from cryosleep, players face a ship in chaos, an absent crew, and an eerie presence stalking their every move. The race is on to escape the doomed vessel before being consumed by the ominous gravitational forces of the black hole.
Co-Founder of NETHERWORLD, Ben Armstrong, expressed enthusiasm for the launch, emphasizing the immersive storytelling that sets this escape room apart. He remarked, “We are excited to take our guests on a terrifying one-hour adventure into the outer darkness. Time is running out…will they return to Earth, or will they be lost in the vastness of interstellar space? We shall see!”
Escape the NETHERWORLD operates Wednesdays and Thursdays 2:20 – 6:40 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays 2:20 – 10:00 p.m., and Sundays 2:20 – 8:20 p.m. Reservations are essential, with online bookings required at least 4 hours in advance.
