CLEAR and Wellstar Health System Launch Innovative Patient Check-In

CLEAR, a leader in secure identity solutions, and Wellstar Health System, one of Georgia’s largest healthcare providers, have announced a groundbreaking initiative to streamline and expedite the patient check-in process. The first pilot location is now operational, with further expansion planned for the second half of 2024.

The collaboration introduces CLEAR Verified technology, enabling Wellstar patients to pre-verify their identity before arriving for appointments. Patients receive a text message a few days prior to their visit, allowing them to check in using CLEAR. On the day of the appointment, patients can complete their check-in by taking a selfie at a CLEAR Verified kiosk at Wellstar facilities.

“Identity is foundational to making patient experiences safer, easier, and more efficient,” said Caryn Seidman Becker, CEO of CLEAR. “Our collaboration with Wellstar Health System will bring a streamlined and secure check-in experience for patients. This initiative moves us closer to replacing traditional check-in methods in healthcare.”

Dr. Hank Capps, EVP and Chief Information and Digital Officer for Wellstar Health System, and President of Catalyst by Wellstar, emphasized the benefits: “Our patients’ time is precious. By introducing CLEAR’s secure technology, we can make the check-in process more efficient and safe. This integration reflects our commitment to creating a cutting-edge care ecosystem. Coupled with compassionate care from Wellstar clinicians, we aim to deliver a truly world-class experience.”

Wellstar is the first healthcare system to use CLEAR Verified, setting a new standard for patient check-ins. This partnership marks a significant step towards modernizing healthcare procedures, ensuring a more secure and efficient experience for patients.
