Following last year’s wildly successful Big Night Out featuring alt-rock legends CAKE, the beloved open-air concert series returns this fall with a double dose of live music. Rival Entertainment has announced the 2025 edition of Big Night Out, a two-night celebration scheduled for October 3 and 4 at the Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark, with headliners Lake Street Dive and Marvelous 3 taking center stage.
Opening the festival on Friday, October 3, is Lake Street Dive, the genre-blending powerhouse renowned for their infectious fusion of pop soul, indie pop, folk rock, and alt-jazz. Often described as “if The Beatles and Motown had a party,” the band’s high-energy performances and hits like “Good Kisser,” “Hypotheticals,” and “Side Pony” have garnered critical acclaim and a devoted fanbase. Their appearance will set the stage for a weekend of groove, nostalgia, and genre-defying sounds.
Saturday, October 4, will see Atlanta’s own Marvelous 3 bring the festival to a climactic close. Best known for their 1998 breakout hit “Freak of the Week,” the rock trio—fronted by Butch Walker—recently made a triumphant return to the stage, celebrating their 25th anniversary with three sold-out nights at The Tabernacle in 2023. With the re-release of their fan-favorite Hey! Album and a new project on the horizon, the band’s resurgence has reignited excitement among longtime fans and new listeners alike.
Set against the scenic backdrop of Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark along the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail, Big Night Out continues its mission of transforming public spaces into unforgettable music experiences. The venue is within walking distance of Inman Park, Ponce City Market, Krog Street Market, and Piedmont Park. To ensure accessibility, the event will offer complimentary bike valet service, designated ride-share drop zones, and nearby parking options.
General Admission and VIP tickets go on sale Friday, May 16 at BigNightOutATL.com. The all-ages event offers free admission for children under seven with a ticketed adult.
Lake Street Dive has partnered with PLUS1, pledging to donate $1 from every ticket sold to support First Peoples Fund, which benefits Native artists and cultural initiatives, as well as the PLUS1 LA Fires Fund, aiding communities impacted by wildfires.
