Auburn Angel Opens Friday: Chef Robbie Pacheco Leads Culinary Charge in Restored Building

Auburn Angel is set to debut on Atlanta’s iconic Auburn Avenue, heralding a culinary renaissance in a meticulously restored space once home to the Auburn Avenue Rib Shack. Founded by Atlanta natives Asa Fain and Chef Robbie Pacheco, the venture navigated through restoration challenges, including those exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite hurdles, the restaurant’s interior seamlessly merges historical allure with contemporary flair, a testament to the design finesse of Patti Krohngold.

At its culinary core, Auburn Angel embodies an eclectic journey curated by Executive Chef Robbie Pacheco. Reflecting the diverse mosaic of Atlanta’s cultural fabric, the menu draws inspiration from a myriad of cuisines, including French, Chinese, Low Country, and Indian. Pastry Chef Pamela Moxley further elevates the dining experience with her artistry.

As the grand opening approaches this Friday, Auburn Angel eagerly awaits the opportunity to welcome patrons to embark on a culinary journey like no other. Rooted in a spirit of community and innovation, the restaurant stands as a beacon of tradition reinvented on historic Auburn Avenue.

Auburn Angel, located at 302 Auburn Avenue in Atlanta, is open from Wednesday to Saturday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
