Atlanta Open Unveils Player Field for Final Tournament

ATLANTA, GA – The Atlanta Open, scheduled for July 20-28, 2024, at Atlantic Station, has announced its player lineup for the tournament’s final iteration. The field features top talents including Americans Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe, along with Adrian Mannarino, Denis Shapovalov, and former top-10 player David Goffin.

Headliners

Leading the pack is Atlanta native Ben Shelton, currently ranked No. 14 in the world. Shelton, a semifinalist at the 2023 U.S. Open, made his ATP Tour debut and clinched his first ATP Tour match win at the 2022 Atlanta Open. Now the third-highest ranked American, Shelton brings a strong hometown appeal to this year’s tournament.

Frances Tiafoe, ranked No. 30, also stands out in the field. A three-time ATP Tour champion, Tiafoe will be aiming for his first finals appearance at the Atlanta Open.

Notable Participants

Other notable players include last year’s Atlanta Open runner-up Aleksandar Vukic (No. 81) and 2022 runner-up Brandon Nakashima (No. 64). Adrian Mannarino and Denis Shapovalov add further star power to the event.

Georgia Tech senior Andres Martin has again received a wild card invitation. Martin has made a mark in the past two Atlanta Opens, notably defeating Thanasi Kokkinakis on College Night in 2022 for his first ATP win.

Special Events

The tournament will also feature special events such as the Sunday Showdown delivered by UPS and the Champions Challenge on July 21 and 22, respectively. The Sunday Showdown will showcase an exhibition match between Venus Williams and Sloane Stephens. The Champions Challenge will feature a doubles exhibition with former Atlanta Open champions John Isner, Andy Roddick, and the Bryan Brothers.
