The Atlanta Food and Wine Festival will be held May 30 to June 2 in Atlanta Ga. It will be located at Lowes Atlanta Hotel the central location for the festival. The hotel is located on 11th and Peachtree. The 14th floor of the hotel has the Welcome Center.
Tasting Tents
The Tasting Tents will be located at the historic Old Fourth Ward Park. The food and drink reflects the history of Southern food. The park has 85,000 square of space and was designed for large festivals. There will be over 120 vendors at the park including chefs, restaurants, food companies, wine, beer, and spirit producers.
Connoisseur Experience
The Connoisseur offers festival goers two day weekend passes to the tasting tents, special seminars, and dinners. Guests have access to the Connoisseur Lounge. It has a chef’ kitchen, dining area, and several bars. This lounge is 6,000 square feet. Dinners included in this package are Southern barbecue, Shades of Italy, Family Meal, and Lowdown Drinking. These dinners given by award winning chefs explore the history of Southern cooking.
Destination Delicious
Destination Delicious Night Market is held on May 30 at 7:30 p.m. Its is a three hour preview of the festival with chefs, food, and drink to sample. Participants will taste street food to traditional Southern food. There will be a variety of appetizers, meats, cheese, wine, beer, and desserts to sample.
Powerful and Delicious
The Powerful and Delicious Heart and Heritage event explores southern food in more depth featuring signature dishes paired with wine and specialty cocktails. It is May 30 at 7 p.m. Attend an event where famous chefs recreate their favorite dishes and pair them with special cocktails and wines.
The celebrity chefs and food service professionals participating in the Powerful and Delicious event are Maneet Chauan from TN, Patrice Clearly from Washington D.C., Paula DePano from NC, Samatha Fore from KY, Jen Yee from GA, and Jiyeon Lee from GA.
Parking for the festival is available on 10th Street, 11th & Juniper, at Lowes Atlanta Hotel and on North Avenue. Most events for the festival are in walking distance of the hotel.
