The WNBA is set to make history next summer as the Atlanta Dream and Seattle Storm compete in the league’s first-ever regular-season game played outside the United States. This groundbreaking event will take place on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, as part of the third annual WNBA Canada Game.

Building on the success of sold-out games in Toronto (2023) and Edmonton (2024), the Vancouver matchup marks a significant milestone in the WNBA’s mission to expand its global reach and showcase professional women’s basketball to an international audience.

The Atlanta Dream enter the 2025 season on the heels of back-to-back playoff appearances for the first time since 2014. Featuring a dynamic roster that includes rising star Rhyne Howard, veteran rebound leader Tina Charles, and Canadian standout Laeticia Amihere, the Dream are poised to make waves. Notably, Atlanta has a history of trailblazing internationally, having played the first WNBA preseason game in Europe in 2011.

Meanwhile, the Seattle Storm bring their championship pedigree and star power to Vancouver. Headlined by WNBA stars Nneka Ogwumike, Jewell Loyd, and Skylar Diggins-Smith, the Storm boast one of the league’s most decorated histories. Canadian fans will recall their thrilling victory over the Los Angeles Sparks in Edmonton during the 2024 WNBA Canada Game.

This event underscores the WNBA’s rapid growth in popularity, particularly in Canada, where viewership surged by 175% in 2024. With Toronto and Portland set to join the league as expansion teams in 2026, the WNBA continues to achieve new milestones in its global journey.

Fans eager to witness this historic game can register for presale tickets at WNBACanadaGame.com, with further details on tickets and broadcasts to be announced. The 2025 Canada Game is poised to be a landmark moment for the WNBA, celebrating its elite talent and international appeal.
