The WNBA has announced an exciting update for the 2023 Kia WNBA Skills Challenge. This year’s competition will feature a brand new format, with four sets of All-Star teammates going head-to-head in a thrilling obstacle course relay. The challenge will put their agility, dribbling, passing, and shooting skills to the test. Among the obstacles scattered along the course, there will be a Kia EV6, making its debut as a presenting partner in the event.

ESPN will be broadcasting the Kia WNBA Skills Challenge and the WNBA STARRY® 3-Point Contest from the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas on Friday, July 14. The event promises to be a captivating spectacle as the All-Star players compete to showcase their skills.

Team Dream will include Atlanta Dream’s first-time All-Stars, Allisha Gray and Cheyenne Parker. Team Wings will be led by three-time All-Star Arike Ogunbowale and two-time All-Star Satou Sabally. Team Aces boasts the talents of five-time All-Star Chelsea Gray and two-time All-Star Kelsey Plum from the Las Vegas Aces. Meanwhile, Team Liberty will be represented by two-time All-Star Sabrina Ionescu and five-time All-Star Courtney Vandersloot of the New York Liberty.

The first round will see all four teams racing against the clock. Player 1 will complete the obstacle course, followed by their teammate, Player 2. The two teams with the fastest times will advance to the final round and compete head-to-head for the championship. In case of a tie, tied teams will repeat the course to determine the winner.

Additionally, the event offers a fantastic opportunity for fans to showcase their own basketball skills and win prizes. WNBA Live presented by U.S. Bank, located at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center’s Bayside Hall F, will feature a 30-second version of the Kia WNBA Skills Challenge. Fans can participate in passing, dribbling, and shooting activities, set on a footprint powered by the all-electric Kia EV6.

WNBA Live presented by U.S. Bank is a two-day interactive fan festival celebrating the WNBA, fashion, music, and culture. Taking place from Friday, July 14 to Saturday, July 15, fans will get to enjoy an immersive experience and celebrate the WNBA’s incredible athletes.
